Ingredients

  • 3 oz fresh apple cider see Note 1
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • ½ –1 teaspoon maple syrup optional (see Note 2)
  • ¼ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup ginger beer or ginger kombucha see Note 3
  • Ice generously
  • Brown sugar and cinnamon for the rim
  • Apple slices or cinnamon stick for extra garnish

Method

  1. Prepare the optional rim: Mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon on a shallow plate. Rub a lemon wedge around the glass rim, then dip into the mixture until evenly coated. (Use a little honey or maple syrup if needed for better stickiness.)
  2. Shake: Add apple cider, orange juice, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup (if using) into a shaker with ice. Shake well for 10–15 seconds. If you don’t have a shaker, use a sealed jar or bottle.
  3. Serve: Fill a glass with ice and strain the mixture over it.
  4. Top: Add ginger beer or kombucha and stir gently.
  5. Garnish: Finish with an apple fan and a cinnamon stick, then serve immediately.

Notes

Batch version: Multiply the ingredients by your number of servings and combine everything except the ginger beer and ice in a pitcher. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then add the ginger beer and ice just before serving.
